Raw feeding is a way of feeding dogs and cats minimally processed, nutrient-dense food to support overall health. Because it uses wholefoods that are more in line with what pets are designed to eat, it can be easier for their bodies to digest than heavily processed diets. A raw diet also provides essential fatty acids to support skin and coat health, and quality protein and wholefood nutrients to support muscle maintenance, healthy digestion, and overall vitality.
Nope — ZooperBowl is complete as-is. Each bowl has all the nutrients your pet needs.
Skin and digestive sensitivities are often linked to proteins commonly used in commercial pet foods such as chicken, beef and pork. Our hypoallergenic recipe is instead formulated with lamb, veal and fish, providing an alternative option for sensitive dogs that may react to these proteins.
Wondering how veal is different from beef?
Milk-fed veal is younger and typically has a different nutrient and fat profile compared to grass-fed beef. For some sensitive pets veal is a novel protein and doesn’t cause a reaction - but sensitivities vary, so it may not be suitable for every pet.
All our meats are New Zealand grown and ethically sourced. Not meat meals or rendered meat.
Our plastic pouches are soft plastics recyclable, and our boxes can go in your normal recycling bin
